I AM a good mom! (I think)
So...most of the time I don't question my abilities as a mother. However, today was different. Neither of my children have really had an injury that has bled (other than Taegen's bloody nose). Well, today we were playing in the front room. I was sorting and cleaning toys when Taegen took a stumble. He fell and hit his head on the toy chest. He started crying so I picked him up and cuddled him until he quit crying. Then I actually looked at him (and me). My brand new shirt (that's beside the point) had blood all over it and Taegen's face had blood all over. I found the culprit....a 1/2 inch cut above his right eye. What to do??? I called my trusty ole' nurse, mom, and she told me to call the doctor bec
ause it was on his face. Anyways...a long story short...we went to the immediate care center and they glued his cut shut. So, we got him all fixed up and came home and ate lunch. Then I was loading the dishwasher and Taegen and Kyler were playing with the cookie cutters and the pitcher (like ALWAYS). At any rate, Taegen starts whining so I tell him to come here and he comes and is dripping blood behind him. What the??? His hand is covered in blood so I go and look and the pitcher has broken and Kyler is sitting in the middle of the broken glass. So I move Kyler and bandage up Taegen. Then I bandage up Kyler and then Taegen again. Blood everywhere!! So needless to say, they had little cuts all over their hands. So...new moms everywhere....apparently, it isn't smart to give your children glass objects to play with! (who knew?) So....now I am just waiting for the phone to ring from the division of child and family servi

Happy Halloween!!
Here is our chicken and our dinosaur. We had a nacho/chili/taco fest with the neighbors and then all of us went trick or treating. The boys (or shall I say Ryan and I) got lots of candy. Woo hoo!!
