Appointments, appointments and more appointments!
Well, this week has been full of fun appointments. Actually, it all started last week. Taegen and Kyler went to the dentist for their first time. Woohoo!! The dentist said that Kyler is 10 steps above other kids with down syndrome because he doesn't have an underbite. Yeah! So that was good news. Both boys got a flouride treatment and then it was over. They each got to pick out a new toothbrush and we vowed to regularly brush their teeth. The next morning we get up and brush their teeth and Taegen goes and puts his back in the bathroom and and then he gets Kyler's toothbrush and puts it back in the bathroom. After he "cleaned up" the toothbrushes I went to check and put them in the holder and Taegen had put them both in the toilet. I guess he doesn't like brushing his teeth after all!!
Yesterday, Kyler had an appointment with an audiologist to see about hearing aides. He got his ears molded and we get to go back in three weeks to try them out. Also, in January Kyler will be getting new braces for his feet because he has FINALLY grown out of his old ones. He still has little feet but they are growing.
And one more thing scheduled for January, Taegen gets ear tubes. So, needless to say, January will also be filled with fun appointments!!

Another First - cops and all!!
Well, we had another first today. Me and Kyler were sitting all nice and quietly on the kitchen floor hanging out. Ryan was chillin' on the couch and Taegen was playing with the phone. I hear the phone calling someone so I hurriedly hang it up. No less than 2 minutes later the phone rings and the lady says "Hello, is this Krista? This is 911 calling. We received a call from this number and they hung up and we need to know if everything is okay." I tell the nice lady that everything is fabulous and that my toddler must have called the number accidentally. Everything fixed and good to go!!! WRONG!! Ten minutes later a knock comes on the door. Ryan answers the door and it is the police coming to see if everything is okay. We again tell them that we are fine and that Taegen must have called accidentally. He said that even though they called me back and I told them that it was an accidental call - they still have to come and check. Whoa - who knew? So...it's nice to know that the cops are so great at checking up on the Gage's. We better stay out of trouble for awhile because now they know where we live.
